The Ogden Arts Festival, now hosted by Ogden Downtown Alliance, seeks artists of handmade original art, performing and literary arts, and muralists to apply by April 9 for the 19th annual community celebration of the arts. The festival will be held at the historic Ogden Union Station, July 19-20.
Ogden Downtown Alliance, a nonprofit that also produces Farmers Market Ogden, the Historic 25th Street Car Show, Harvest Moon Celebration, and more, will manage the Ogden Arts Festival. It was previously managed by Nurture the Creative Mind and directed by Danielle Bendinelli.
“This acquisition is in alignment with our organization’s mission to promote community vibrancy through arts and events, and we look forward to honoring the festival’s legacy while exploring new opportunities for it to grow as our community evolves,” said Reide Thompson, executive director of the Ogden Downtown Alliance, in a press release.
The Ogden Arts Festival is unique in its focus on youth and emerging artists while featuring more than 100 local and regional artists of fine arts and crafts in 15 different medium categories.
The festival also includes live muralists, literary arts, local musicians and street buskers, cultural performances, food vendors, interactive experiences, and more.
Artists may apply at this link. Live muralists and literary or performing artists may apply here. The application deadline is April 9.
