The 44th annual Lindquist Family Symphony Pops Concert and Fireworks will bring the community together at Weber State University on Sunday, July 16, from 9–11 p.m.

It’s a long-standing Ogden tradition, held the Sunday before Ogden Pioneer Days, started by John A. and Telitha E. Lindquist in 1978. John E. Lindquist, president of Lindquist Mortuaries and Cemeteries in Ogden, now carries the torch.

“The Lindquist family is a longtime supporter of Weber State University,” says Weber State news coordinator Rachel Badali. “They choose to hold this event every year on WSU's Ogden campus because there's ample space and parking, and it's also a gorgeous backdrop for the show.”

The New American Philharmonic is back again this year to provide a 60-minute live performance beginning at 9 p.m. in the heart of campus, at the Ada Lindquist Plaza, that will include Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" with a battery of 16 cannons provided by the Cannoneers of the Wasatch. The live symphony will then accompany one of the largest fireworks displays in Utah, set to begin around 10 p.m.

An exciting lineup of local food trucks will be there for thousands of attendees to enjoy: Kettle Korn of Utah, The Corndog Company, Bottomless Cup, Taqueria La Tapatia, Churrology, Hokulia Shave Ice, and Lucky Slice.

This annual summer celebration is free and open to the public.

Parking and seating is available but limited. Visit the Weber State website for details.
