OGDEN MUSIC FESTIVAL 2024 LINEUP ANNOUNCED
Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music has curated a stellar lineup of award-winning artists celebrating multiple music genres and the diversity of bluegrass music for the 16th Ogden Music Festival.

Ogden, UT (January 25, 2024) — Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music (OFOAM) has released its lineup for the 16th annual Ogden Music Festival returning to Fort Buenaventura in Weber County, Utah, May 31 to June 2. This year, women dominate a spectacular lineup of award-winning artists in multiple music genres including non-traditional bluegrass. The three-day festival is OFOAM’s flagship event, renowned for its family-friendly atmosphere, with camping on-site, workshops and jam sessions, kids activities, and more.

“This year celebrates the diversity of bluegrass music, from traditional to experimental, and beyond to diverse voices in Americana, soul, rock, mariachi, and honky tonk. We go even further with disco-delic and Son Jarocho folk-rock,” says festival co-director Reba Nissen.

The main stage lineup includes Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Sarah Jarosz, Celisse, Hayes Carll, Say She She, Las Cafeteras, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, Twisted Pine, The Slocan Ramblers, Wyatt Ellis, Josie O and The Big Six, and Mariachi Aguilas de la Esperanza. Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz return to the festival with their careers catapulting. Both artists are shattering ceilings in bluegrass and Americana music — Jarosz has four Grammy awards and Tuttle won her first in 2023, with a nomination for the 2024 awards. Tuttle was the first woman to earn Guitar Player of the Year from the IMBA in 2018.

“Molly Tuttle and her guitar are on fire. Having her bluegrass professor father guide her, she was immersed in the music festival environment at an early age,” says OFOAM Founder Michelle Tanner. “Her story represents what OFOAM is all about — nurturing the next generation of musicians.”

Other headliners make their OMF debut: Hayes Carll brings his easygoing, everyman style of storytelling that's earned comparisons to John Prine and Townes Van Zandt. Celisse stands on the shoulders of Sister Rosetta Tharpe and harnesses the joy and power of Jimi Hendrix with her guitar. Say She She is a powerhouse trio of women garnering praise for their unique “disco-delic” sound.

Utah’s own Pixie and the Partygrass Boys are back to shake things up with their signature “newgrass” of rock, punk, and bluegrass. Twisted Pine combines bluegrass with elements of classical music and jazz.

Many of these artists have been on Tanner’s wish list for a long time. “Teen Wyatt Ellis will show off his mandolin skills. He’s worked with several of our seasoned artists, she says. “Let's hope for some collaborations that bring that Ogden Music Festival ‘magic’ to the stage.”

Camping on site is available throughout the weekend, along with workshops, a kid zone with an instrument petting zoo, late-night campground jams, kids parade, art vendors, morning yoga, and dining from some of the best local food and beverage vendors.
