Filmed in Ogden and Salt Lake City by McClain Lindquist, of Ogden, this short film is adapted from Edgar Allen Poe’s short story of the same title and reimagined into an original psychological thriller described as “mind-bending, pulse-pounding, and bloody-disgusting.”

After a highly successful festival run, the Official Premiere of this 22 minute film, “The Tell Tale Heart” is at the Megaplex Theatres at The Junction in Ogden, Utah on Thursday, October 21.

There will be a meet and greet, red carpet style at 6 p.m., followed by free screenings at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm.

Tickets are free and will be distributed at the door the day of the event on a first come first serve basis.

First-time filmmaker McClain Lindquist, a musician and mortician, was driven by a passion for “all things Poe” and a deep love of film to do one of his favorite stories justice with “The Tale Tell Heart.” With his musical background, Lindquist strings together haunting scenes of horror with beautiful music while his peculiar day job as an undertaker adds a unique view of life and death to the film.

“This intense movie was an ‘undertaking’ and helped me to release buried emotions and compartmentalized grief,” Lindquist said in the media release.
