Ogden, UT — Music fans from around Utah and surrounding states will gather for the 16th annual Ogden Music Festival, returning to Fort Buenaventura in Weber County this weekend. Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Sarah Jarosz, Celisse, Hayes Carll, Say She She, and more award-winning artists will perform along with 11 local acts.

The three-day music festival has camping on-site, workshops, jam sessions, a kids zone, vendors, food trucks, and more.

Americana, bluegrass, mariachi, and soul—even alt-disco, are among the diverse styles represented in this year’s lineup that includes Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Sarah Jarosz, Celisse, Hayes Carll, Say She She, Las Cafeteras, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, Twisted Pine, The Slocan Ramblers, Mountain Grass Unit, Wyatt Ellis, Josie O and The Big Six, The Pickpockets, and Mariachi Aguilas de la Esperanza.

11 local acts for the coveted “tweener” spots are Evan Michael, Alicia Stockman, The Prairie Dogs, Bill Vernieu and Alvin Blaine, Band of Ferns, Andrew Wiscombe, Brielle Petrie & Isaac Geslison, Emma Almanza, Emily Hicks, Zaza Historia VanDyke, and All A Board.

Utah’s own “newgrass” band Pixie and the Partygrass Boys are back to kick things off Friday night, along with rising powerhouse Celisse and “discodelic soul” queens from Brooklyn New York, Say She She.

Saturday is jam-packed with some of the best artists in Americana music today including singer/songwriter Hayes Carll, rising mandolin star Wyatt Ellis, local bluegrass band The Pickpockets, Twisted Pine, and Grammy award-winning artists Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz. Salt Lake City-based folk singer/songwriter Andrew Wiscombe, who just released a new album “Cosmic Holiday,” performs between Hayes Carll and Sarah Jarosz.

This festival is full of family-friendly activities (kids ages 16 and under are free): there’s camping on-site, workshops, a kid zone, late-night campground jams, 25+ artisan vendors, morning yoga, and dining from some of the best local food and beverage vendors: Lucky Slice Pizza, El Changarro Loco, Miss Kitty’s Outlaw BBQ, Treasure Ice Land, Dakine Grindz, Scallywagon, Grounds for Coffee, Roosters Brewing and more.

Sunday is only $25 admission for the day. Chicano band from East L.A. Las Cafeteras, Birmingham pickers Mountain Grass Unit, and Josie O and The Big Six headline. Josie O is a new band comprised of musicians from Salt Lake City’s Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, Pompe ‘n Honey, The Hollering Pines, Theoretical Blonde, and Hot House West.

Ogden-based musicians Zaza Historia VanDyke, from the band Doomcupcake, and Emma Almanza will perform among other Ogden and Salt Lake City artists also perform on Sunday.
