HillFest relocates to downtown Ogden

Independent News

Ogden, Utah—Ogden is getting a surprise music festival next weekend with touring artists Andy Frasco & The U.N., Fruition, North Mississippi

Allstars, Bumpin Uglies, and Neal Francis with local opening acts including The Proper Way, Compass Rose, and Imag!nary Friendz.

HillFest 2022 was relocated from Powder Mountain to Ogden Amphitheater and Ogden Union Station after cancelation of the snowmobile portion of the event.

”Due to extremely low snowfall, warm conditions and rapid snowmelt over the last few weeks, Triple Crown Sports, RMSHA (Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hillclimb Association) and Powder Mountain have collectively decided to cancel the snowmobile competition portion of HillFest, which was set to be held at Powder Mountain in Eden, Utah from April 22-24, 2022,” said HillFest organizers in a media release.

This would have been the first RMSHA competition at Powder Mountain, but Triple Crown will bring it back to the Eden ski resort again next year, they said, earlier so there is less risk of melted snow.

The music, however, will go on (see schedule below). The three-day HillFest 2022 music lineup will continue next weekend, April 22-24 in downtown Ogden music venues, making the concerts more accessible to fans and attendees from Northern Utah.

1-Day and 2-Day General Admission and VIP tickets are currently on sale at tchillfest.com/tickets.html. Previously purchased tickets for HillFest are still valid at the Ogden Amphitheater.
