Farmers Market Ogden, named No. 1 Farmers Market in Utah by American Farmland Trust for the third consecutive year, is celebrating National Farmers Market Week on Saturday, Aug. 10, during the market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Limited edition 2024 Summer Saturdays t-shirts to commemorate the occasion will be available for purchase at the market information booth on Saturday. The tees feature the original poster artwork from Salt Kat Apparel, a local artist and vendor at the market.

According to a new release from Ogden Downtown Alliance, the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that hosts the annual farmers market in Ogden, National Farmers Market Week “highlights the essential role farmers markets play in supporting communities and strengthening local food systems.”

“We are excited to celebrate National Farmers Market Week as a community and highlight our wonderful vendors,” said Meg Beasterfield, Market Manager at Farmers Market Ogden, in the release.

“Farmers markets don’t just happen, and Ogden’s market thrives because of the dedicated efforts of our local farmers and producers, creatives and artisans, community partners, sponsors, and the incredible support of our patrons.”

Farmers Market Ogden runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 14 at Historic 25th Street in Ogden, Utah. The market has over 200 unique vendors featuring fresh produce, meat, flowers, plants, baked goods, handmade items, and more—all locally grown and sourced. In addition, food trucks, community yoga, live music, art, and family-friendly activities attract patrons looking for diverse cultural and dining experiences.

The Main Stage live music on Saturday will feature Caleb & The Canvas and Giants in the Oak Tree (The Ogdenite Local Editor’s Pick this month). Community Yoga in the Municipal Gardens is free at 9 a.m. led by Yoga with Joss.
