Dear Kokomo Club

Kokomo Club re-opened last night for the first time since the Covid closure in March. Running since 1961, there are stories about the “Angel of 25th Street” owner Cindy Simone that make sitting with a beer inside the wooden pew-like booths at the cash-only bar a holy experience. On Christmas Eve every year, Simone delivers donated clothes, blanket, supplies, toys, and a free hot meal to the community. The homeless are loved and received with dignity here—a decades-long tradition of compassion and grace.
