The Ogden Raptors return to Ogden for their first home game on Tuesday, May 27, against the Pioneer League’s reigning champs the Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers. Beyond action on the field, there are many reasons to visit Lindquist Field this season.

Ogden Raptors President Dave Baggott said the team’s focus this season is on the fans and local community. They are celebrating more than 30 years as the Ogden Raptors and nearly 30 years playing at Lindquist Field in Ogden.

The Raptors started the 2025 baseball season on the road, playing six games in California against the Oakland Ballers. They finished the road trip with an 8-2 victory Sunday, May 25.

Baggott and his staff are dedicating their resources to enhancing the experience at games and highlighting what’s truly treasured by the organization: the fans, community, and their roots. Baggott said The Raptors organization plans to create those experiences through the three Ps: Programming, Promotions, and Partnerships.

This year, the Ogden Raptors are partnering with Ogden City and Weber County in support of the Summer Roots Contest, a county-wide collaboration contest designed to get people outside and engaged with their community.

Fans can register now to win tickets for the game this Thursday, May 29, open to all who register here

Those interested in participating in the contest can download and create an account on the app “Goosechase,” search “Summer Roots Contest” and join with the code 28FXIM. The winner of the contest will throw out the first pitch at the Raptors game on Aug. 7. Throwing out the first pitch—now that’s engagement.

The Raptors will continue to partner with community banking institutions: Bank of Utah (Tuesday), Wells Fargo (Wednesday), and America First Credit Union (Thursday) to provide value seats on their respective nights. Card-carrying members of those institutions may claim up to eight reserved box seat tickets (valued at $17 each) for $5 each by presenting their card at the box office.

Other promotions include baseball hat giveaways at Tuesday home games, each week commemorating an Ogden baseball team of the past, including the Ogden Lobsters, Canners, Spikes, and Reds. Every Friday home game is a T-shirt giveaway, and Saturdays will be a mystery giveaway. Every Sunday there will be free food for fans.

Baggott mentioned another addition for the fans. Players will be walking in through the stands 15 minutes before the National Anthem at every home game this season. Fans should have their baseballs and pens ready before the game.
