Yorktown Swap is a locally-owned, swap meet-style market where local sellers can host a booth to sell personal goods or give information through their business or organization. This month’s event is this weekend, January 25 and 26, at the Yorktown Swap location in the Newgate Mall in Riverdale. Visitors can browse from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. 

Owner and Operator of Yorktown Swap, Ishla Olson, sought to fill a need for local sellers and businesses and create a unique experience for shoppers. “I just wanted a place for the community to come together,” she says, “while offering a reasonably priced place to sell their items and/or market their small, local businesses.”

The events combine the ease of a swap meet for sellers with the booth freedom of a street market – indoors, where weather isn’t an issue. Because vendors can sign up on a rolling basis, the booths differ from month to month so no visit to Yorktown Swap is the same. Olson says, “It’s always a mix. The various booths feature things from pre-loved items to boutique goods, treats, and sometimes, vintage finds. We also accept service-based businesses to set up information booths.”

The current schedule for Yorktown Swap events is: 

• January 25 and 26

• February 8, 9, 22 and 23

• March 8, 9, 22, and 23

• April 12, 13, 26, and 27

It is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. on these dates.

Yorktown Swap is located at the Newgate Mall, 3651 Wall Avenue in Riverdale, Utah in the retail space across from Bath and Body Works.
