The eighth and final episode of Ogden City Limits Season Two will air Friday, featuring one of Ogden’s most renowned artists Korene Greenwood, affectionately referred to by locals as The Queen.

Ogden City Limits is a docuseries created and hosted by Ogden-based musicians Shane Osguthorpe and Scott Rogers, of The Proper Way, where they bring musician friends into their studio to make music together. On each episode they learn and arrange one cover and one original song from a guest artist, giving viewers an up-close look at the process and a deeper acquaintance with Northern Utah musicians.

Season Two opened a year ago with Korene Greenwood’s son, the highly-regarded guitarist/vocalist Gordon Greenwood. Also joining Rogers and Osguthorpe this season were a number of outstanding local musicians: Alicia Stockman, Hasen Cone (Hectic Hobo), Cherry Thomas, Carson Wolfe, Nick Nash, and Daniel Young.

At roughly 20 minutes per episode, these make for an endearing night of binge-watching for music lovers.

In a similar fashion to the raw, personal setting of the show, Scott Rogers shares a text conversation in which they are discussing the release of Episode 8, what happened to seven minutes of audio, and videographer Natalie Haws agonizing over her lighting choices:

Natalie Simpson: “I think my neighbor might be dead. Be back in a minute…”

Shane Osguthorpe: “Why is that just a normal interjection in this chat?”

Scott Rogers: “Right? That’s why we work so well together.”

Shane Osguthorpe (to Natalie): “We all know the feeling…and literally NO ONE has any complaints. What you’re doing matters to this stupid, little community. Our hope is that when one or two of these artists blows up, and people do a deep dive on their obscure sh*@, they’ll realize that Ogden was a part of their sound. Consider yourself an archivist or historian. At the very least, we all got to hang out with one another for a few magical moments of this ridiculous life.”
