SHOP LOCAL GUIDE
We’ve been keeping our eye out for local gift ideas all year long so we can bring this list to you. You can also find ideas on our Ogden Over Amazon shopping list. Ogden Downtown Alliance also has a great list of small businesses to do your holiday shopping this year. Don’t forget to shop Craft Lake City Holiday Market and Holiday Open House at Ogden Nature Center on Friday and Saturday, and Carriage House at Eccles Art Center.
Here are some of our Favorite Things 2022, in no particular order (descriptions below, in order of the pictures:)
Hippie Skin Natural Skin Care Bundle. The gift of glowing skin! We can’t image a Utah winter without it. Purchase online.
Whisky Barrel Ring, The Diamond Room. This beautiful little shop on Historic 25th Street is full of gems (literally), but this one has a unique charm perfect for the whisky lover in your life.
Mini bottles and handmade whisky soap (another one for your whisky lover) at Ogden’s Own Distillery. Perfect stocking stuffers. But no one would be sad to open a bottle of Five Wives.
Potted plants from Rainbow Gardens, whimsical and fun for all ages. Grab some Mormon Muffins to-go from the Greenery while you’re there!
Lunar Calendar, by Wild Meraki Creations, at Fiction (the old Tiger Mart). Handmade petal-pressed paper!
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” book at The Queen Bee. While you’re there pick up old-fashioned candy, bath bombs, and toys.
Make-a-candle and astrology gifts from Art Box. Pair it with a card reading by Astrobabble (@astro-babble) who you can find on Instagram @astrobabble.
Warrior Herbal Immune Support, Khroma Herbs, our medicinal shop of choice. Everyone you love needs this lovingly made protection this winter.
Tea balls (they have crystals!), and an array of other coffee/tea lover gifts, including the amazing coffee, at Grounds for Coffee on 25th Street.
Glen’s homemade fudge, Gandy Dancer Mercantile, the essential holiday stop where you’ll also find live music, ice cream, hot dogs, books, and other gifts every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It’s magical.
Artisan Bread, by Chase Campbell. Order online, pick up at Grounds for Coffee on Harrison. You can taste the love and passion. We want no other bread.
Put together a music lover package: Vinyl gift card, music-themed socks, a few “shorties” incense sticks, hot sauce, The LQ zine, and coffee all in a cool tote, the one and only Lavender Vinyl.
Ogden’s Christmas Village hoodie, an Ogden collectible that we’re not ashamed to wear it all year-round. Get it for your Ogden-obsessed Ogdenite. They’ll freak. The Corner Shop and Christmas Village Shop at Municipal Gardens.
Tickets to Imagine Ballet Theater’s “The Nutcracker” at Peery’s Egyptian Theater. Our favorite local production inside Ogden’s historic 1920s theater. Make it a new tradition!
Fresh evergreen swags, at Ogden Nature Center Holiday Open House. Hostess gifts! Employee gifts. Your mom!
Matchboxes, chocolate, and craft beer from Salt & Hops. Wrap it all up together with some of the free stickers and coasters.

Bekah Eilander’s (B’s Beeutiful Things) handmade dolls, sold at The Local Artisan Collective.
Jingle Bell Java, and all the other holiday coffee blends, at Kaffe Mercantile. We wait for it all year. It’s one of the only things we love about these dark days.
Beehive Cheese. Need we say more? Available at most grocery stores but if you visit the store in Uintah you can find special holiday editions, and there’s a gift shop.
Dry bottle collection for your healthy lifestyle or sober friends, at WB’s Eatery.
