The Northern Utah Trailfest (NUT) is upon us again! The NUT returns for its third year to North Fork Park in Eden, Utah, Oct. 4-6. offering mountain bikers, trail runners, and nature enthusiasts a whole weekend to appreciate and celebrate Utah’s beautiful outdoors.

The three-day festival, presented by the GOAL Foundation and Trails Foundation of Northern Utah, with support from Weber County Parks and Rec, features mountain biking and trail running races, live music, food, vendors, and family-friendly activities. Entry is free.

The mountain biking and trail running are described as a test of endurance, with participants ‘relying on their grit’ to hit the time limits on the 3-hour and 6-hour races. For the first time in NUT history, a Duo Race option is available for those who want to further challenge themselves with a buddy.

The races require advanced registration.

Free activities include stargazing and raptor demonstrations with Ogden Nature Center, ecology hikes, poetry hikes with local poets to get your brain moving through the trees, storytelling sessions with WSU Storytelling, and yoga and sound baths with One Body Yoga. Treehouse Museum is hosting a Kid Zone.

Live music will be performed by local artists including Steven Dean, Giants in the Oak Tree, W!M, Lucky Find, and Mel Soul. Van Sessions will host a live audience podcast featuring more live music and interviews with athletes.

Food trucks such as Daily Rise Coffee, El Nene Sammy, Pizza Cone Zone, Burnt Out BBQ, Los Churros Del Norte, and Nacho Average Nachos will be onsite. Ragnar Relay is even supplying some free s’mores to the event Friday and Saturday night.
