Ogden City Opens Nominations for Mayor's Awards in the Arts

Ogden, UT — Ogden City Arts invites the public to nominate an artist, arts advocate, or organization for the Mayor’s Awards in the Arts. The annual celebration recognizes those making impactful contributions to the Ogden community through the arts. 

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to recognize and celebrate the incredible talent and dedication of individual artists, arts-based organizations, and creatives who are making a significant impact in Ogden City. I encourage everyone to take part in this important process and help us honor those who enrich our cultural landscape,” Ogden City Arts Administrator Lorie Buckley said in a press release. 

The event will be held at the Browning Theatre at Ogden Union Station this fall, hosted by Ogden’s new mayor, Ben Nadolski. Last year’s honorees included: Cole Eisenhower, Patrick Ramsay, OFOAM, Danielle Bendinelli, and Weber County R.A.M.P. 

Award recipients will be chosen from the following categories: 

Youth Artist

Arts in Education

Performing Arts

Lifetime Contribution

Visual Arts

Folk Arts

Literary Arts

Media Arts

Design Arts

Arts Advocacy

To recognize a local creative you think is deserving, complete the online form with supporting documentation at ogdencity.com/mayorsawards.

The nomination form states: “You cannot nominate your own organization, yourself, or self-solicit for nominations. These submissions will be disqualified.”

The deadline to submit nominations is 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.
